What Are TVM and SIT, and How Can They Help Me?

What is SIT

Subconscious Imprinting Technique is a trauma-informed healing system designed to reveal and resolve the physical, emotional, and behavioural effects of repressed emotions and unresolved memories. A single session can help you identify and release subconscious imprints that may be contributing to anxiety, chronic pain, low self-worth, or patterns that feel stuck and hard to change.

 

The Role of a SIT Practitioner

As a certified SIT Practitioner, I am trained to uncover a specific moment in your life and the emotional imprints that may be stored in your subconscious and nervous system. These imprints are often the root cause of chronic symptoms, unwanted behaviors, or inner blocks. Once the memory and imprint are acknowledged and cleared, your subconscious can begin to create new beliefs, feelings, and outcomes. This creates real change in your physical health, relationships, emotional wellbeing, and the way you move through life.

 

What is TVM

The Triple Vagal Method is a bottom-up somatic trauma healing modality developed after seven years of applied research and thousands of sessions. It was created to resolve trauma, complete unprocessed survival responses, and restore a sense of safety in the body by engaging the nervous system directly.

 

TVM works through gentle, calculated touch applied to specific points on the body to stimulate the vagus nerve and promote the release of stored survival energy or incomplete charges. These charges are what we commonly refer to as trauma. Through this process, the body begins to shift out of survival states and into a regulated parasympathetic state. What makes TVM especially unique is its ability to flood the system with therapeutic levels of oxytocin, often referred to as the love hormone. Oxytocin provides a temporary anesthetic effect on the nervous system and helps recalibrate vagal tone, allowing for deep restoration and emotional healing.

 

TVM is effective regardless of age, verbal capacity, or cognitive ability. It can support children, adults, and even animals. The modality is rooted in the principles of polyvagal theory, neuroscience, and ancient somatic wisdom, providing a gentle and powerful way to release trauma and reprogram the nervous system for safety and vitality.

 

The Science Behind It: Oxytocin, Fascia, and the Vagus Nerve

TVM supports healing through the activation of oxytocin, the vagus nerve, and the fascial system. Oxytocin plays a major role in emotional bonding, empathy, and stress relief. Fascia, the connective tissue network that surrounds muscles and organs, holds onto tension, memories, and patterns of bracing in response to trauma. The vagus nerve acts as a communication superhighway between the brain and body and plays a central role in regulating heart rate, digestion, breath, and emotional states.

 

Recent research has shown that oxytocin receptors exist throughout the fascial tissues. When oxytocin is released through intentional, gentle touch, it can help modulate fascial tension and enhance the vagus nerve’s activity. This triad of oxytocin, fascia, and vagus nerve forms a powerful entry point to undoing stored emotional pain, regulate stress responses, and promote healing from the inside out.

 

TVM and SIT Together Aka SubSoma Therapy: Healing Through the Body(Soma) and (Sub)conscious

SubSoma Therapy offers a holistic path to healing by addressing the deep connection between the mind, body, and subconscious. While traditional talk therapy provides valuable insight and space for verbal processing, it often overlooks how emotional wounds and chronic stress are held within the body, the nervous system, and the subconscious mind. This is where approaches like the Triple Vagal Method (TVM) and the Subconscious Imprinting Technique (SIT) can create meaningful shifts that talk therapy alone may not achieve.

By integrating TVM and SIT, we work with both the body's physiological responses and underlying subconscious patterns to support emotional regulation, release stored survival street stress, and foster long-term transformation. These methods recognize that many of the patterns we carry are not just cognitive. They are shaped by how the nervous system adapted to earlier life experiences. TVM helps restore balance through nervous system regulation, while SIT addresses the root imprints that shaped those patterns. Together, they provide a comprehensive and deeply effective approach to healing.

Depending on your goals, I can perform TVM and S.I.T separately, or I offer the blended option which I call SubSoma Therapy. 

 

What a Session Can Look Like

Each session is unique and tailored to your goals. Depending on the modality you choose, whether it’s S.I.T, TVM or a SubSoma session (both modalities blended) they can look a little different. But they always include a check in at the beginning, touch work/subconscious work or a blend of both, and integration.

A SIT-based session includes: (Online & In-Person) 60-90minutes

  • Talking through what you are struggling with

  • Identifying your desired emotional or behavioural outcome

  • Using muscle testing or body-based intuition to trace the issue back to its root

  • Clearing the imprint through a guided process using specific statements that you repeat out loud

  • Closing discussion and homework 

 

A TVM-based session includes: (In Person Only) 2hr ish 

  • Thorough intake process (during first session) 

  • Check before body work begins

  • Applied gentle sustained pressure to specific points on your body 

  • Supporting oxytocin release and vagus nerve activation

  • Limited talking 

  • Integration and closing discussion

SubSoma Session: (In Person Only) 2hr ish 

A signature session that combines the Triple Vagal Method (TVM) and Subconscious Imprinting Technique (SIT) for full-body nervous system regulation and subconscious reprogramming.

​

  • Beginning of session:

    • Start with a check-in to explore what you’re currently experiencing

    • Clarify your desired emotional or behavioural outcome

    • Uncover the root emotional imprint contributing to the issue

    • Begin table work

​

  • First half of table work:

    • Focused on somatic touch work and the release of oxytocin 

    • Helps bring the body into a safe, calm state before we move into the clearing portion of the session

  • Second half of the session:

    • Shift into the SIT process with still performing touch work

    • Use guided clearing and repair statements to rewire the subconscious

    • Release unresolved memories, emotional charge, or limiting beliefs

    • Integration and closing discussion

What You Might Experience During Our Work

What ever modality you choose they all have the possibility of bringing up different things, you may feel deeply relaxed or meditative, old memories may surface and emotions may move through you. You might also feel nothing at all during the session, but notice subtle or significant shifts over the days that follow. Everyone is different and has their own unique experience.

Who This Is For

This work is generally safe for most people. If you are experiencing symptoms like psychosis, active self-harm, or suicidal ideation, it is important to be under the care of a licensed mental health professional. In some cases, I may work in conjunction with your therapist to support your process. For others, modalities like EMDR or Somatic Experiencing may be helpful steps before engaging in this work.
